About smsactivator.io
A small, independent team building a privacy-focused marketplace for virtual phone numbers. We aggregate supply from multiple SMS providers so you always get the best price, with the redundancy of multi-upstream failover.
Why we built this
Privacy is a precondition for the open web. Every service on the internet asks for a phone number, and every phone number asks for a piece of identity that gets logged, sold, and breached. We want a way to verify, rent, and own numbers without handing over a national ID — paid in crypto, with no KYC, no card on file, and minimal logs.
We are not the cheapest single-upstream reseller, and we don't want to be. Single-upstream means single-point-of-failure; single-upstream means whichever provider you picked dictates your price and your reliability. We aggregate three upstream networks and route every order to the cheapest live inventory.
What we run
- Self-hosted core. Postgres, Redis, Meilisearch, Fastify, Next.js — running on machines we administer ourselves. No third-party SaaS holds your wallet balance, your order history, or your support tickets.
- Encryption at rest. AES-256-GCM for upstream credentials and account-creation order payloads. HMAC-SHA512 on every payment webhook. Hashed IPs in audit logs — we never store raw client IPs.
- Multi-upstream routing. Live integrations with 5sim.net, SMS-Activate, and SMSPVA. Orders auto-fail-over when an upstream is degraded. The status page at /status reports real-time upstream health.
- Crypto-only payments. 10+ chains via OxaPay plus a card-to-crypto fallback. No card processor, no Stripe, no PayPal — and therefore no chargeback liability creeping into operational decisions.
