Terms of service

smsactivator.io is a marketplace for virtual phone numbers used to receive SMS verification codes, run long-term rentals, and operate dedicated virtual numbers. The platform aggregates supply from multiple upstream SMS providers; the actual carrier number you receive is sourced from one of those upstreams.

You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction, and not located in a jurisdiction where this service is prohibited. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the service complies with the laws applicable to you.

Account creation requires only an email address. You are responsible for safeguarding your password, your TOTP seed, and your API tokens. We are not liable for losses arising from a compromised account where the compromise was the result of your own credential handling.

Permitted uses include privacy-preserving 2FA, multi-account management on services you legitimately operate, regional access for travellers, and QA testing. Prohibited uses are listed in the Acceptable Use Policy at /aup. Violation of the AUP can result in immediate account termination without refund.

All purchases are paid in cryptocurrency through OxaPay or the alternative card-to-crypto rail. Wallet balances are denominated in USD and held against your account. Wallets are non-interest-bearing and are not bank deposits. Refunds, when applicable, credit the wallet — not the originating chain — because crypto payments are non-reversible.

Refund eligibility is governed by /refund-policy. In short: auto-refund on failed delivery within the 20-minute SLA, on broken numbers, and on user-cancel before the SMS is received. Successful deliveries are non-refundable.

We aim for high availability but the upstream SMS providers we depend on are imperfect. Numbers, services, and country combinations may be unavailable from time to time. Live status is published at /status. We are not liable for losses arising from temporary unavailability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, smsactivator.io and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Direct liability, where it cannot be excluded, is capped at the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may terminate your account at any time from the dashboard. We may terminate your account with immediate effect for AUP violation, suspected fraud, or chargeback. We may terminate any account on 30 days' notice for any other reason; in that case any unspent wallet balance is paid out via the original or an equivalent crypto channel.

Material changes to these terms are announced on the homepage and via email. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
